New Game Plus exists in retail Mortal Shell 2. The Week 1 Update (29 August 2026) says the Wandering Shepherd’s Sheep now respawn properly in New Game Plus. That sentence is the first-party confirmation.
What is confirmed
NG+ is a second loop with at least some enemy respawn rules patched after launch. Weapon and Shell upgrade economies were also changed in Week 1: Glimpses and Tarcores are no longer finite in a single playthrough.
What is not published
Cold Symmetry has not published a carry-over list for weapons, Gloom, Shell bonds, or boss rewards. Do not assume Dark Souls-style NG+ scaling until a patch names it.
